The Ghora Katora (the bowl of horse) Lake is a picturesque site. It is believed to be the place where Jarasandha's stable was situated.

ourists visiting Rajgir can now have a royal experience to cherish forever with the state tourism department planning to offer a seven-km phaeton ride through the lush green alleys in Rajgir to tourists every day.

The ride would begin at Rajgir to end at picturesque Ghora Katora lake which was recently developed as a pollution-free tourist spot. "The ride would start happening within two months from now," said Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation (BSTDC) DGM Navin Kumar.

The Ghora Katora Lake is one of the popular picnic spots of Rajgir. The name of this lake suggests a bowl of horse. The site of this lake is believed to be the place where the stable of Jarasandha was situated. Jarasandha is a famous character from the Hindu mythological epic, Mahabharata.
